Alexandra is a relational psychotherapist and training psychoanalyst at ICP in LA. Alexandra works with adults affected by relational trauma, depression and anxiety and those seeking support in navigating emotional, interpersonal and identity challenges.

Alexandra supports clients in their search for greater meaning, belonging and agency in a world that is increasingly isolating and fragmented, offering an in-depth relationship that creates opportunities for growth in various aspects of their lives.

She has a special interest in working with clients who identify as highly sensitive, empathic and introverted. Her theoretical grounding in psychoanalysis, humanism, feminist theory and existential philosophy guide her towards a deeper understanding of her clients and the worlds that shape them, allowing a sensitive exploration of the barriers to an authentic and fulfilling life.

Alexandra’s relationships with her clients begin from a place of connection. She brings an appreciation for her client’s growing edges and potential, and is guided by whatever material is emerging internally and interpersonally. Alexandra honors the collaborative and mutually affecting power of the therapeutic relationship. She is continually sensitive to the interplay of subjectivities between self and other, and the immersive and vulnerable nature of this work. She offers a rich and thoughtful exploration of past and present relationships and experiences, helping people understand themselves in context, and uses the therapy relationship as a tool for growth - strengthening people’s sense of self, building more fulfilling relationships with others and finding more meaning in daily life.

Alexandra brings a critical consciousness to the structures, systems and cultural values that shape clients’ lives, identifying ways they can reclaim agency and dignity in spite of the disempowerment many people suffer. Alexandra is also focused on uncovering and making new meanings out of lived experiences – both dark and light - believing that humans are shaped by joy and connection as well as pain, loss and angst. She offers a warm, attuned and sometimes playful environment in which clients are not alone in navigating their losses, desires, ambitions and struggles.

Alexandra earned a Bachelor in Arts and a Bachelor in Sciences at the University of Melbourne, Australia and the Universite Lumiere Lyon in France. She went on to complete an honors program in Psychology at La Trobe University and wrote a thesis on the topic of synchrony in bilingual parent-child dyads. Alexandra has worked in crisis services, in behavioral therapy with neurodivergent children and their families and in research labs to conduct and publish studies on emotion regulation in children with Autism.

Alexandra immigrated to the Pacific Northwest in 2015 to complete her graduate training at Seattle University where she was introduced to depth psychology. Currently Alexandra co-organizes Northwest Climate Circle, a mentorship program through the Northwest Alliance for Psychoanalytic Studies, serves as Secretary of the Board of the Alliance and co-organizes a Climate Psychology study group for Climate aware therapists. She is a candidate at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis in LA.
