Forrest views the therapy relationship as a journey of mutual discovery, and is committed to supporting clients in their journey towards agency, freedom and depth in relationships and in their sense of self. Forrest works with clients from a wide array of cultural backgrounds, bringing a focused expertise to working with immigrants, second-generation individuals, and those who identify as multiracial or feel caught between different cultural identities. He is also skilled at working with all folks of all genders around understanding and expressing identity in all its nuance.

Forrest understands how complex questions about “Who I am”, and experiences related to belonging and self-definition are vital to development and important parts of the therapy process. Forrest creates a compassionate and empowering space for clients to better understand who they are (in context) and who they want to become on their paths towards growth. He is passionate about guiding clients towards self-discovery with both insight and curiosity, empowering them to build a more cohesive and integrated sense of self.

With a psychoanalytic foundation, Forrest brings a sensitivity to the cultural, historical, and systemic forces that influence the lives of his clients. He approaches potential barriers in therapy not as obstacles but as meaningful opportunities for transformation, encouraging clients to engage with these moments as pathways to personal growth. Forrest’s clients value his deep listening, collaborative spirit and his ability to create a therapeutic space that is open and inviting.

His clinical focus also extends to working with individuals living with manic depression or bipolar disorder, offering them a grounded approach to understanding their psychological experiences and guiding them toward a greater sense of integration and balance, connecting with the unseen parts of themselves.

Forrest's commitment to culturally responsive care is unwavering. His extensive experience working with clients from a variety of cultural, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds has only strengthened his resolve to provide equitable and effective care. Forrest earned his Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Seattle University and continues to invest in his professional development through ongoing education and supervision in analytic psychotherapy. He is dedicated to advancing his skills in addressing complex identity issues, cultural dislocation, intergenerational trauma, and the psychological impact of systemic oppression.

When he's not in practice, Forrest can often be found playing music or avidly exploring new album releases. He also enjoys gathering with friends for tabletop role-playing games, where his love of storytelling and community shines through.
